Kommunikation ist manchmal alles. Mit diesem Grundgedanken beschäftigte sich auch das Opencaching-Team. Um nicht nur die einseitige Kommunikation des Teams zu erfahren, entschloss man sich, einmal im Monat eine kleine, ungezwungene Sitzung einzuführen. Der ''OC Talk'' war geboren.

Um am OC-Talk teilzunehmen, braucht man vorzugsweise ein Headset (Kopfhörer mit Mikrofon), sowie die kostenlose Software "[[Teamspeak|TeamSpeak]]". Im entsprechenden Artikel gibt es eine Anleitung, wie man sich die Software herunterlädt und installiert.

Teilnehmer konnten sich anfangs für den OC-Talk anmelden, diesen aber nicht loggen, da mic@ ein Passwort einbaute, um das Loggen zu unterbinden (dies wurde als "Couchpotato-Logging" angesehen).

Anfangs wurden im OC-Talks vor allem Themen wie Entwicklung & aktuelle Lage der Plattform besprochen. In den folgenden "Talks" kamen auch allgemeine Themen rund um die Plattform und Aktionen dazu.

Das Protokoll zum OC-Talk kann von allen Anwesenden geführt/bearbeitet werden. Dazu wird eine Abwandlung von Etherpad namens [https://wiki.piratenpartei.de/Piratenpad Piratenpad] genutzt.

Ab OC-Talk 048 wurde ausschließlich Google Docs genutzt, da der Betreiber des Piratenpads bekannt gab den Support im Sommer 2019 einzustellen.

Auf Anregung des Höhrers Schrottie wurde der OC-Talk 23 erstmals nicht via [[Teamspeak|TeamSpeak]] sondern via Google Hangouts aufgezeichnet. Über das anschließend hochgeladene Video konnte der OC-Talk somit in Bewegtbild verfolgt werden. Zusätzlich besteht so die Möglichkeit den Bildschirm des Hangouts Administrators einzublenden und so z.B. Neuerungen direkt im Video zu zeigen. Vorübergehend blieb der OC-Talk 023 der einzige Talk mit Videoaufzeichnung. Aus unterschiedlichsten Gründen z.B. zu geringer möglicher Teilnehmeranzahl und/oder mangelnder Videoqualität wurde der OC-Talk in den folgenden Episoden wieder mittels Teamspeak aufgezeichnet, da keine optimale Videoaufzeichnungsmöglichkeit gefunden wurde. Zur Jubiläumsfolge Nr. 50 und der Folge 51 wurde der OC-Talk erneut via Video, diesmal mit dem Programm Zoom.us, aufgezeichnet.

Kommunikation ist manchmal alles. Mit diesem Grundgedanken beschäftigte sich auch das Opencaching-Team. Um nicht nur die einseitige Kommunikation des Teams zu erfahren, entschloss man sich, einmal im Monat eine kleine, ungezwungene Sitzung einzuführen. Der OC Talk war geboren.

Der OC Talk findet an jedem ersten Sonntag im Monat ab 20:30 Uhr via TeamSpeak (mit Skype/Hangouts ohne Bild vergleichbar) statt. Anwesend sind sowohl Opencaching.de-Teammitglieder als auch Cacher aus der Opencaching-Community. Auch Neulinge und Muggel sind willkommen. Wir freuen uns über neue Gesichter.

Um am OC Talk teilzunehmen, braucht man vorzugsweise ein Headset (Kopfhörer mit Mikrofon), sowie die kostenlose Software "TeamSpeak". Im entsprechenden Artikel gibt es eine Anleitung, wie man sich die Software herunterlädt und installiert.

Geschichte des OC Talks

Der erste OC Talk fand am 1. Dezember 2013 statt. Parallel dazu wurde von mic@ ein Eventcache angelegt, in dem seitdem immer der nächste Termin des OC Talks angekündigt wird. Teilnehmer konnten sich anfangs für den OC Talk anmelden, diesen aber nicht loggen, da mic@ ein Passwort einbaute, um das Loggen zu unterbinden (dies wurde als "Couchpotato-Logging" angesehen). Auf der Jahreshauptversammlung 2014 des Opencaching Deutschland e.V. (im August) wurde beschlossen, dass dieses Event das "Safari-Attribut" erhält und das einzige(r) Event/Cache ist, das/der von zu Hause geloggt werden darf.[1]

Anfangs wurden im OC Talks vor allem Themen wie Entwicklung & aktuelle Lage der Plattform besprochen. In den folgenden "Talks" kamen auch allgemeine Themen rund um die Plattform und Aktionen dazu. Das Protokoll zum OC Talk kann von allen Anwesenden geführt/bearbeitet werden. Dazu wurde bis September 2017 (OC-Talk 47) eine Abwandlung von Etherpad namens Piratenpad genutzt. Ab OC-Talk 048 wurde ausschließlich Google Docs genutzt, da der Betreiber des Piratenpads bekannt gab den Support im Sommer 2019 einzustellen. Eine Liste aller Protokolle findet ihr im unteren Abschnitt dieses Artikels.

Auf Anregung des Höhrers Schrottie wurde der OC Talk 23 erstmals nicht via TeamSpeak sondern via Google Hangouts aufgezeichnet. Über das anschließend hochgeladene Video konnte der OC Talk somit in Bewegtbild verfolgt werden. Zusätzlich besteht so die Möglichkeit den Bildschirm des Hangouts Administrators einzublenden und so z.B. Neuerungen direkt im Video zu zeigen. Vorübergehend blieb der OC Talk 023 der einzige Talk mit Videoaufzeichnung. Aus unterschiedlichsten Gründen z.B. zu geringer möglicher Teilnehmeranzahl und/oder mangelnder Videoqualität wurde der OC Talk in den folgenden Episoden wieder mittels Teamspeak aufgezeichnet, da keine optimale Videoaufzeichnungsmöglichkeit gefunden wurde. Zur Jubiläumsfolge Nr. 50 und der Folge 51 wurde der OC Talk erneut via Video, diesmal mit dem Programm Zoom.us, aufgezeichnet.

Idee zum Podcast

Schon im ersten OC Talk im Dezember 2013 gab es die Idee eine Podcast speziell für Opencaching.de zu schaffen. Diese Idee wurde dann aber nicht weiter verfolgt bis clanfamily die Idee im Dezember 2014 erneut einbrachte. Die erste geplante Aufnahme des OC Talks im Januar 2015 fand allerdings nicht statt und wurde auf den Februar 2015 verschoben, sodass am 4. Februar der erste OC Talk als Podcast im Blog veröffentlicht wurde (OC Talk 016).

Struktur des Podcastes

Einleitung

  • Der Podcast beginnt meist mit einer Vorstellungsrunde aller Anwesenden.
  • Anschließend werden die Kommentare, die über die sozialen Netzwerke oder die Kommentarfunktion des Blogs eingegangen sind, erwähnt bzw. diskutiert.

Hauptteil

  • Nach dieser Einleitung beginnt werden Themen besprochen, die sich während des letzten Monats angehäuft haben. Dazu zählen häufig Fragen rund um die Entwicklung und den Status der Plattform, welche meinst im Forum aufgeworfen wurden. Aber auch spontane Themen aus der Community werden besprochen.
  • In der Kategorie "OC in the News" werden aktuelle Beiträge anderer Blogger, Podcaster etc., welche OC als Thema haben, angesprochen.

Endteil

  • Abschließend werden (falls vorhanden) Cache- & Eventempfehlungen erwähnt. Eine Übersicht aller OC Talkempfehlungen: Cacheliste OC Talk Empfehlungen
  • Verabschiedung.

Im Anschluss an den offiziellen Teil

  • Nach dem offizellen Podcast schließt sich ein inoffizieller Teil an, in dem locker über beliebige (Geocaching)-Themen gesprochen werden kann.
